What this course is about

German A1 classes give a complete beginner a clear, friendly entry into pronunciation, essential grammar and everyday exchanges. During live 1-on-1 online classes, you practise greetings, introductions, numbers, time, family, shopping and directions with a teacher who can immediately adjust explanations. Sound drills and short dialogues prevent the course from becoming a translation exercise. This German course online is suitable for students, travellers, professionals and adults who want a manageable foundation with personal guidance.

You will learn the alphabet and key sounds, noun gender, articles, personal pronouns, sein and haben, regular verbs, negation and basic question forms. Practice includes spelling information, describing a routine, asking for help, ordering politely and making simple appointments. Reading and writing begin with names, forms, messages and short personal descriptions. Repetition is purposeful: each vocabulary group returns in a speaking task, a listening check and a small written activity.

This A1 course is the starting point for German and should not be confused with the A2 programme, which expects more independent communication and additional grammar. Lessons are available from 7 AM to 9 PM or on weekends, allowing a parent, student or working adult to learn at a comfortable pace. You receive a certificate on completion and placement support with resume help, mock interviews and referrals as you consider your next step.

Yes, the course is designed to begin with sounds, greetings, introductions and essential sentence patterns. You only need a willingness to speak aloud and practise small amounts consistently between classes.

The teacher introduces articles with useful vocabulary and revisits them in sentences, questions and short descriptions. This gives you repeated context for remembering gender instead of treating the topic as an isolated table.

A phone, tablet or laptop with a reliable internet connection, microphone and camera will work. Shared notes and audio activities are enough for the language practice, so specialist software is not essential.

You will practise greetings, numbers, time, ordering, asking for directions and simple help requests. More flexible conversation, past events and expanded grammar are covered at the German A2 level.

They build foundational skills that can support later A1 assessment preparation. Check the current official exam structure, registration process and test conditions with the appropriate examining organisation.
